At Hub Plumbing & Mechanical, we understand the personal nature of inviting a plumber into your home, so we’d like to tell you a little about who we are and introduce you to the members of our team.

Hub Plumbing & Mechanical takes the plumbing industry to the next level, utilizing a professional, friendly, customer-centered approach. In addition to protecting your floors with red carpet, Hub’s experienced plumbers also cover their work boots with stain-resistant booties, wear ID badges for security purposes, and arrive on time and smartly dressed in crisp, clean uniforms.

Hub Plumbing & Mechanical was established in 1999 and now includes a staff of 16 full time employees. The full service plumbing company assists residential and commercial customers with sewer/drain clogs, garbage disposals, water heaters, water filtration, steam and hot water boilers, thermostats, leaky faucets, tub valves, gas pipes, appliance installation, and outside hose faucets.

Meet the Staff at Hub Plumbing & Mechanical

John Wood Founder and CEO As a young Master Plumber John wasn’t satisfied with the level of service normally provided to customers in the plumbing industry, so he established Hub Plumbing & Mechanical, transforming the plumbing industry in the process by utilizing a professional, friendly, customer-centered approach. John, a resident of Boston, is a graduate of the Cape Cod Plumbing School and the Old Colony Trade School. A native of Dorchester, John is also a member of the Dorchester Board of Trade, the Speakeasy Stage Company, and the Ashmont Civic Association. Fluent in Vietnamese, John has traveled extensively in Asia and is currently studying Japanese. Both here and abroad, John savors ethnic food and good wine.	John Clary Service Technician/Service Manager In his role as Service Manager at Hub Plumbing & Mechanical, John helps coordinate the service activities of the Hub team and provides customer service training and tech training. John is a Master Plumber as well as a carbon monoxide analyst. A native of Mansfield, MA, John resides in Hyde Park, MA, and is also member of the Nexstar Network. An avid rock climber, John scales ice in the winter for a change of pace. His affinity for rocks also carries over into his crystal-mining hobby. In addition to his rockbound activities, John is a musician as well.
Joseph Clayton Wood Service Technician In addition to providing heating and plumbing services as a Journeyman Plumber, Joseph’s additional responsibilities include customer service and apprentice training. A native of Mansfield, MA who currently resides in Dorchester, MA, Joseph is a graduate of New Hampshire Technical College with an Associate’s degree in Science, and is also a graduate of Cape Cod Plumbing School. He’s also a member of the Nexstar Network, the Massachusetts Plumbing Association, and the New England Fuel Institute. In his spare time, Joseph likes traveling, checking out new restaurants and what’s happening on the bar scene. He also enjoys playing cards, as well as darts and pool.	Tom Phan Service Technician Tom, who started out working at a Vietnamese restaurant as legal alien, is now a fully licensed Service Technician at Hub Plumbing & Mechanical and a US citizen. A graduate of Cape Cod Plumbing School, Tom, who resides in Dorchester, MA, is also a member of the Vietnamese American Civic Association. Thrilled to be part of the Hub team, Tom enjoys working on his house when he’s not busy studying to perfect his English, or cooking up tasty treats.
Elijah Crist Service Technician With a comprehensive knowledge of steam and hydronic heating and diagnostics, Elijah’s position at Hub is a world away from his previous career as a classically trained chef, who graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts. A native of Iowa City, Iowa, Elijah currently resides in Dorchester, MA. A Velodrome cycling enthusiast, Elijah enjoys long distance riding as well as running. He is a member of Team HGW cycling and is an annual RAGBRAI participant.	Peter Balestra Service Technician Pete is an expert in the field and brings a diverse skill set to the service team. With his attention to detail and true love of customer service, he is an indispensable member of the team.
Jeffrey Hill Service Technician Jeffrey brings a diverse skill set as a member of Hub Plumbing & Mechanical’s Service Team. Jeffrey is a native of Mansfield, MA who currently resides in Dorchester, MA. When he’s not on the job at Hub, Jeffrey’s interests include motorcycle riding and fishing.	Tom Nee Technician #32 Tom just joined the team in early 2007. An active member of the U.S. military, Tom now pursues a career as a technician in the plumbing, heating, ventilation and cooling field. Personable and friendly, Tom is a fantastic addition to the team at Hub.
Chris Aronson Service Technician A long-time service technician, Chris brings a lot of experience and enthusiasm to the table here at Hub. Chris specializes in the tougher jobs that tend to roll in, and is very experienced in the older, more antiquated buildings. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his daughter and reading up on industry trends.	Michael Wells Service Technician Highly versed in the ins and outs of excellent service, Mike has a great outlook on his career and enjoys it thoroughly. Should you have the pleasure of dealing with him, you can expect a friendly person that is genuinely concerned in providing you with the excellent customer service for which Hub Plumbing & Mechanical is renowned.
Dave Ciampa Apprentice Dave joins the team from a long family history of plumbers. Dave has an enthusiastic and job-oriented attitude toward his career and is rapidly gaining the skills necessary to earn his license with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.	Brad Caney Apprentice Brad has a promising future with Hub, possessing of a natural mechanical ability and is eager to learn. He eagerly pursues industry based knowledge and is an avid reader of the various mechanical publications. Look for Brad at your next project alongside a senior technician!
