About Hub Plumbing of Boston

At Hub Plumbing & Mechanical in Boston MA, we understand the personal nature of inviting a plumber into your home, so we’d like to tell you a little about who we are and introduce you to the members of our team.
Hub Plumbing & Mechanical of Boston takes the plumbing industry to the next level, utilizing a professional, friendly, customer-centered approach. In addition to protecting your floors with red carpet, Hub’s experienced Boston plumbers also cover their work boots with stain-resistant booties, wear ID badges for security purposes, and arrive on time and smartly dressed in crisp, clean uniforms.
Hub Plumbing & Mechanical was established in 1999 and now includes a staff of 16 full-time employees at our Boston location. Our full service company assists residential and commercial customers with sewer/drain clogs, garbage disposals, water heaters, water filtration, steam and hot water boilers, thermostats, leaky faucets, tub valves, gas pipes, appliance installation, and outside hose faucets.
John Wood
Founder and CEO
As a young Master Plumber, John wasn’t satisfied with the level of service normally provided to customers in the plumbing industry. As a result, he established Hub Plumbing & Mechanical. In doing so, he transformed the plumbing industry by utilizing a professional, friendly, customer-centered approach.
John, a resident of Boston, is a graduate of the Cape Cod Plumbing School and the Old Colony Trade School. A native of Dorchester, John is also a member of the Dorchester Board of Trade, the Speakeasy Stage Company, and the Ashmont Civic Association.
Fluent in Vietnamese, John has traveled extensively in Asia and is currently studying Japanese. Both here and abroad, John savors ethnic food and good wine.
John Clary
Service Technician/Service Manager
In his role as Service Manager at Hub Plumbing & Mechanical, John helps coordinate the service activities of the Hub team and provides customer service training and tech training. John is a Master Plumber as well as a carbon monoxide analyst. A native of Mansfield, MA, John resides in Hyde Park, MA, and is also member of the Nexstar Network. An avid rock climber, John scales ice in the winter for a change of pace. His affinity for rocks also carries over into his crystal-mining hobby. In addition to his rockbound activities, John is a musician as well.
